Small Talk on Self Publishing March 24th @ 3pm

What are you going to do with your novel, collection of short stories, poems or memoir? Have you found a publisher? How about an agent? Ever thought about self publishing?

With the marketplace changing so rapidly, self publishing has buoyed to the top as a viable option for launching your book out into the literary sea. But, is it the option for you?

On March 24th at 3pm Tamale Hut Cafe Reading Series will present a talk on Self Publishing. Two self-published authors and Tamale Hut regulars, Matt Bieniek and Chris Krazmus, will share their experiences using Amazon’s CreateSpace and the short run, Print On Demand press Blurb. And the Reading Series own Bernard Cox will give a presentation on self publishing options, the pros and cons of self publishing, the differences between indie presses and self publishing and provide the perspective from traditional publishing. Afterwards, the floor will be open to questions.

This is the first talk given by the Tamale Hut Reading Series in an effort to support our participant writers and their interests. So come out and support, ask questions, get involved, talk books and eat tamales.

Later, stick around for Carrie Kaufman’s reading at 7pm and open mic at 8pm. See you there!
