Looking for something to do this Saturday, June 8th? Tamale Hut Cafe has two events that day, one for people looking to hone their writing abilities and one for people looking for new ideas.
First, at 2 p.m., the Tamale Hut Cafe Writers Group will be holding its June meeting. From group coordinator Matt Bieniek:
“Attention, writers! The June meeting of the THC Writers Group is almost here. Come join us for conversation, camaraderie, and a little constructive criticism of each others’ work. The next meeting is Saturday, June 8, at 2PM at the Tamale Hut Cafe. All are welcome, no matter what genre you write in. I will be distributing materials for critique on Monday, June 3. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to get on the distribution list. Or you can just drop by on the 8th at 2PM. Hope to see you there!”
Then at 7 p.m., Mary Marshall, co-host of the radio show The Paranormal MD, will give a presentation on paranormal anomalies and ghost experiences as part of Tamale Hut Cafe’s new “Things That Make You Go Hmmm” series. From cafe owner Jaime Flores:
“Meet and hear Mary Marshall – Paranormal investigator, researcher, and educator … Mary will explain what paranormal investigating is really about as well as her roles as paranormal consultant and studies college instructor. Bring an open mind and your skepticism as paranormal anomalies and real cases are discussed.”
The cafe will be open and serving food at these times, and Mary Marshall’s presentation will be a BYOB event as well. Come on out!
