Thanks to Lance and what he plans on reading on the 22nd, I guess we can say that the THC Reading Series will be going out with a bang this year!
Lance Stahlberg has been one of our open mic regulars for some time now, and on Saturday, November 22, we’ll have the pleasure of showcasing him as our featured reader for the evening. For the most part, Lance has been entertaining us with stories that have a supernatural bent, but that night, he’ll be reading from his novel in progress, which he informs us is a straight-up crime drama. Happy holidays, everyone!
In fact, because the THC Reading Series takes the month of December off every year, this will be our last reading event for 2014, so come out and join us, get some early holiday cheer in, and enjoy the written work that this reading series offers, before the snow comes and inevitably shuts us all in for a while.
As always, the reading starts at 7 p.m., and there will be an open mic after the featured reader’s presentation. The event is free, with food and drink available for purchase. And, hey, Tamale Hut Cafe is located at 8300 W. Cermak Road in North Riverside, just east of the intersection of Cermak and 1st Avenue.
Hope to see you on the 22nd!
