Jenny Seay founded the reading series, Tamale Hut Café Presents: in January 2007. She is a life-long Chicagoan and writer of fiction, creative nonfiction, and journalism with publication credits in Hair Trigger 27, NewCity Chicago, Punk Planet, Swink, and TimeOut Chicago, among others.
By day, Jenny puts her power of the pen to good use in the field of alumni relations and development. By night, all she can think about is finishing her novel, a coming-of-age tale involving professional wrestling. She has recently made enough progress on this to earn her Master of Fine Arts degree from Columbia College Chicago, and is more determined than ever to tell this story.
